I will also say there is some enemy variety but i'm still kind of early so there may be more as the game progresses. I did just discover my first combat dungeons last night though and the minibosses gave me a few good hits where if I would have just stood in place and wailed on them I could have definitely lost. It's definitely improved but as others have said it is a cozy simulator so the difficulty isn't there ( at the beginning) even if the mechanics are. Still plenty button mashy, the Dodge-roll mechanic requires some timing. I haven't gotten a gun yet which I am sure adds another wrinkle to the combat but even in terms of just a melee combat I find it to be far more engaging than portia. There is a skill tree devoted to your weapons and attacks, there are some key victory slowmos that happen, again it's not exactly anything that's gonna change your life but I definitely enjoy the combat significantly more than I did in portia.
